Privacy

What this site collects, where it is kept, and how to have it removed.

[Introductory paragraph from the author. The sections below describe what the site actually does and should stay accurate if the setup changes.]

Newsletter

When you subscribe, the site stores your email address, your first name if you give it, the page you signed up from and the time. You get one confirmation email and are only added once you click the link in it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works in one click. The release-day signup on a book page works the same way and sends one email when that book is out.

Perspectives

When you send a written take, the site stores the message, the book you picked, your name or initials, your email if you give it, and whether you agreed to be quoted in a future reflection. When you record a voice note, the recording is kept in private storage that is not public and is not shared. Nothing you send is published without your permission, and permission means the box you ticked on the form.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are stored and emailed to me so I can reply. They are not used for anything else.

Where it is kept

Submissions are stored on Cloudflare, in a database and private file storage that only I can access. Confirmation and notification emails are sent through Postmark. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form was sent by a person. [Jurisdiction and legal basis, if the author wants to state them.]

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. The Turnstile spam check may set a cookie of its own while it runs. [Update this section if analytics are added.]

Your choices

Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email. To have a message, voice note or your subscription deleted, use the contact form and I will remove it. [Response time commitment, if any.]

[Effective date.]

Newsletter

Hear about the next book first.

Release news, the occasional letter from me, and new Perspectives reflections when they're ready. I only send something when there's something worth sending.

Unsubscribe anytime with one click. Your address is used for this newsletter and nothing else.
